Caught in the Act !

Plain clothes officers have successfully apprehended a prolific shoplifter who had been targeting local businesses for five weeks.

Thanks to sharp surveillance and co-ordinated teamwork, the suspect was caught moments before going into another local business, planning to steal again. He is now in police custody and being investigated in connection with over several different thefts over a number of different city centre stores. 

Following the swift and decisive action of the plain clothes neighbourhood officers, more operations will continue to take place, with the aim of reducing shop thefts and protecting our high streets. 

One more off the streets. One step closer to safer shopping for all.
